TRAINER RAMON PRECIADO GETS 1000th CAREER WIN

Recently honored at a banquet as the track’s top trainer in 2014 and again atop the standings through the first four months of 2015, trainer Ramon Preciado celebrated a milestone win Tuesday afternoon when Fantastic Voyage roared from last with a big stretch run to win the seventh race at Parx giving him the 1,000th win of his career.

A four year-old Congrats filly, Fantastic Voyage was making her first start for Preciado and new owner Barbara Hopkins following a $12,500 claim down at Gulfstream Park March 5th. Having won just once in 31 career starts, she overwhelmed a group of seven fillies and mares to break her first allowance condition.

The brother of Parx Hall of Fame trainer Guadalupe Preciado, Ramon has picked up right where he left off last year after winning his first training title. Through the first four months of 2015, he’s saddled 45 winners from 133 starters for an impressive winning percentage of 33.8.
