GATE MALFUNCTION CAUSES NO CONTEST AT PARX

Due to a malfunction of the starting gate, Saturday’s first race at Parx was declared a no contest. With all the horses not afforded a fair start because of the malfunction, the stewards declared the no contest. Win, place show, exacta, trifecta and superfecta wagers were all refunded. The daily double paid with all the runners in the first and the second race winner. The Pick 3 paid with all the runners in the first and the winners of the second and third races.
